I LOVE HORSES!

I LOVE HORSES!

A few months ago, in the midst of another heat wave, a reoccurring dream woke me again and again... Horses were galloping through refreshing clear water.

But if I am honest with myself, I have to concede that the vision or at least the "feeling" of these horses had been with me for longer than I care to admit. And sure enough, no sooner had I sketched it out that some strong spiraling energy started to manifest; a twirling of redos and redefinition, which is altogether unfamiliar to my way of painting. But here I was, with this unbridled bunch gradually taking over every minute of my day... I  embarked on a journey I could  not possibly have foreseen...

The first impulse and brushstrokes demonstrated how long it had been since I painted one of my favorite subjects

The color palette too kept shifting
The first horse appeared with so much unruly energy I could barely handle it...
Then visitors came to stay for a while but ...
the art kept evolving, the experience grew in intensity...
I was awestruck when some strong horse personalities appeared. They were here to stay.
And the painting in its full presence of the spirit left by previous visitors revealed itself with unbound joy. Please welcome my painting  "Metamorphosis, the Wave!"
